Campaign Update + Upcoming Events with Tyler Bieber
Happy Friday to those who celebrate!
The Against the Current audiobook campaign is moving right along. We have more than twenty backers and need less than $300 to secure the base goal. Keep spreading the word; we’re getting there!
Tyler also recorded a great video this week thanking supporters and inviting folks to pledge and share. He explains what we’re aiming to fund and makes a heartfelt case for why this story deserves to be heard. It’s worth watching if you want a quick, clear sense of what this campaign is building toward.
And he has a couple of events coming up! These are opportunities to learn more about the book, meet the author, and join the growing conversation around Father Tom Oddo’s life and legacy.
📅 July 23 — Tyler Bieber in Conversation with Maxwell Kuzma Tyler will join Catholic writer and podcaster Maxwell Kuzma for a live webinar hosted by LGBTQ‑RAN (Religious Archive Network) and New Ways Ministry. They’ll be talking about Against the Current, Father Tom’s activism, and the process of bringing this story into the world. It’s free, online, and promises to be a thoughtful, generous conversation.
🌈 August 1 — Battle Ground Pride If you’re in the Pacific Northwest, Tyler will be at Battle Ground Pride representing Against the Current and Unencumbered Press. It’s a free, all‑ages event—a great chance to connect with people who care about community, inclusion, and queer history.
No matter the setting, Tyler shows up with curiosity, care, and a deep sense of responsibility to Father Tom’s story. Seeing him in conversation is a reminder of why this book matters and why this work continues.
Thank you for keeping the energy high with us!
