This title embodies the essence of Father Tom’s life and legacy—his commitment to justice, equality, and faith, even when it meant challenging the norms of his time. Like the metaphorical struggle it suggests, Against the Current represents resilience, courage, and the transformative power of standing firm in one’s values.

Throughout the title poll, Against the Current resonated deeply with readers and voters alike. Many highlighted its evocative imagery and its alignment with Father Tom’s countercultural approach to life and ministry. It captures the strength and determination that defined his journey while piquing curiosity about the story behind the name.

We believe this title beautifully reflects the themes of struggle, hope, and perseverance that run through Father Tom’s remarkable story. It also offers a glimpse into the inspiring countercultural narrative of a man whose work left an indelible mark on the communities he served.

With the title finalized, we’re now turning our focus to perfecting the subtitle, which will provide a deeper look into the book’s content. Expect updates on this very soon!
